This Journey ticks all the boxes of a classic Southern African experience. From the stunning beauty of the Cape Penisula, the excitement of a Big 5 safari and the majestic power of the Victoria Falls. The memories of this 11 day luxury adventure, will last a lifetime.
Day 1 - Arrive Cape Town International Airport, Cape Town
You will be met upon arrval and transferred to the Victoria & Alfred Hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have an afternoon to take in some of the wonderful sights that Cape Town has to offer. Admire it all from above by taking the revolving cable car up Table Mountain. Or experience a slice of history, by visiting the poignant Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his incarceration. For many, simply soaking up the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of what we call The Mother City, is enough to endear Cape Town to all!

Day 2 - Private Cape Point, Full Day Tour, Cape Town
Today's tour will porvide a spectacular overview of caoe `town - the city with a vast variety of chocolate-box-beauty and scenery. You will be picked up from the hotel at 08h00. Your drive will take you along a wonderfully scenic road that hugs the coastline. The majestic Twelve Apostles mountains tower above you on the left, and the awesome ocean is a stone’s throw to the right. Feel free to pause for photography purposes along the way to the harbour village of Hout Bay. You have an optional boat trip (weather permitting) to Duiker (Seal) Island. After Hout Bay you take the breathtaking Chapman’s Peak Drive (this road is sometimes closed after heavy rainfalls). After which you arrive at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the home of Cape Point. On leaving Cape Point, you now enjoy more breathtaking views, this time along the False Bay coast. We pass Smitswinkelbaai, and head to Boulders Beach Penguin Colony. The drive continues along the False Bay coast, through Fishhoek, Kalk Bay, St James and Muizenberg. Just after the leafy suburb of Newlands, you turn up to Rhodes Memorial which is nestled at the foot of Devil’s Peak. This is the last stop before returning to your hotel.

Day 3 - Private Cape Winelands Full Day Tour, Cape Town
You will be collected from your hotel at 08h30. Today is dedicated to indulging in the splendor of South African wine. The undulating Cape Winelands have a gentle tranquility, lush landscapes dotted with enchanting stone farmhouses and empty country roads. Most exported South African wine comes from the vineyards around Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. The elevated hills are perfect for cultivating both red and white wines. You'll tour some of the region's finest estates, basking in the beauty of the Winelands and pampering yourself with many fine samples. Cape Dutch architecture is on display today while wine history also plays a part of your tour, with stops at the Hugeunot Monument and the Museum in Franschhoek. After a few glasses of the Cape's finest, the enchanting white streets of Stellenbosch are even more endearing, and the fine dining experiences found here are some of the best in the country.

Day 4 - Ngala Private Game Reserve, Kruger Private Reserves
Today you will be transferred back to Cape Town International airport for your flight of approximately 180 minutes, to the small Mpumalanga town of Hoedspruit. From here, you will be transferred by road to your lodge - approximately 60 minutes drive. You should arrive in time for an afternoon game drive, or perhaps enjoy the serenity of the lodge and your accommodation, while sipping a cocktail and taking in a picturesque sunset! Ngala Private Game Reserve was the first private reserve to be incorporated into the Kruger National Park and has exclusive traversing rights (over 14 700 hectares of game-rich wilderness). The reserve offers an intimate African wildlife experience, with game drives led by expert ranger and tracker teams. Sensitive off-roading practices allow close-up game sightings, while walking safaris are highly recomended in terms of offering an intimate wildlife expereince.

Day 5 -6 - Ngala Private Game Reserve, Kruger Private Reserves
Morning and afternoon game drives and walks, in search of lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, all the way through to the smaller and the nocturnal creatures! You will get to experience some of South Africa's finest and most highly trained guides, who will reveal all that is possible to see!

Day 7 - Fly directly from Ngala’s Airtsrip to Johannesburg
Enjoy your final morning game drive, before returning to the lodge for breakfast. You will then have some time to pack up in preparation for your direct flight to Johannesburg from Ngala's private airstrip. You can expect an approximately 60-minute transfer, and then a 60-minute flight to Johannesburg. A 5-minute transfer around the airport takes you from the Federal Air lounge to the Intercontinental Hotel which is situated, a very convenient, 70 yards from the terminal building.

Day 8 - Fly to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
The flights to Victoria Falls typically depart at 11h00 so you need to check in around 08h30. It is therefore advisable that you enjoy an early breakfast before you stroll over to the Johannesburg International airport terminal building to check-in. The flight to Victoria Falls is around 90 minutes and upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your lodge. Depending on your arrival time at the lodge, you should have an opportunity to enjoy an afternoon boat cruise or game drive. Victoria Falls River Lodge is the first private game lodge to be set in the Zambezi National Park. This newly-built luxury tented lodge is literally situated right on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River

Day 9-10 - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
There's more to the mighty Victoria Falls than what the locals call The Smoke That Thunders. Over the next two days you'll have ample time to take in all that is on offer in this magnifiscent slice of Africa. Take a flight over the Falls, a leisurely sunset cruise on the Zambezi River - passing crocodiles and hippos while sipping on cocktails. Or slip on a lifejacket and challenge the Zambezi: the lower section of the river offers some of the best commercial white-water rafting in the world. Sound a little too adventurous? you're most welcome to rather spend a relaxed afternoon wandering around the local village streets, enjoying the craft markets and learning more about the cultural aspects of this area.

Day 11 - Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for a connecting flight to Johannesburg. From here your international departure will take you home, filled with memories and bursting with a desire to return to Southern Africa.
