Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town
Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be greeted by a private transfer arranged by your travel concierge who will whisk you away to your luxurious accommodation, the Cape Grace Hotel, located in the vibrant Cape Town Harbour waterfront. The Cape Grace Hotel is known for its elegance and charm, and it's the perfect base for your romantic getaway.
Day 2: Exploring Cape Town
After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a private day trip to Cape Point, one of the most breathtaking coastal drives in the world. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to stop at various viewpoints to take in the awe-inspiring scenery of rugged cliffs, pristine beaches, and crashing waves. At Cape Point, you can take a leisurely stroll to the lighthouse and enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward, you can enjoy a romantic picnic lunch on the beach or at one of the nearby scenic spots. Continue on to the delightful penguin colony at Boulders Bay and if time permits, stop in at the world famous Kirstenbosch Gardens.
In the evening, you can enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants, indulging in delicious local cuisine and fine South African wines while overlooking the twinkling lights of the harbor.
Day 3: Cape Town Harbor and Waterfront
Today, you'll have the day at leisure to explore Cape Town at your own pace. You can take a romantic stroll along the harbor waterfront, lined with trendy boutiques, waterfront restaurants, and charming cafes. You can also take a boat trip to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, or simply relax and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the waterfront.
In the evening, you'll head up Table Mountain via the cable car, where you'll be treated to a mesmerizing sunset over the city of Cape Town. You can enjoy a glass of champagne as you take in the stunning views of the city lights sparkling below.
Day4: The Street Food of Cape Town
So much about a country and a culture is expressed through its cuisine. In South Africa, much of the cuisine is a home cuisine and this tour aims to combine the history of the country and city through exploring the back streets to find the tastes that represent all of this rainbow nation. This is also an opportunity to walk the streets of Cape Town and experience its history, its people and its culinary delights.
Day 4: Head to the Winelands
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the Cape Winelands, a picturesque region known for its world-class vineyards, stunning scenery, and romantic ambiance.You'll embark on a private wine tour, where you'll have the opportunity to visit some of the finest wineries in the region and sample their award-winning wines. You can also take a romantic stroll through the historic towns of Stellenbosch or Franschhoek, known for their charming architecture, art galleries, and gourmet restaurants.
You'll check into Babylonstoren, a luxurious wine estate nestled in the heart of the Winelands.
Day 5: Relax at Babylonstoren
Today, you can relax and enjoy the idyllic surroundings of Babylonstoren. You can take a dip in the infinity pool overlooking the vineyards, unwind with a couples' spa treatment, or simply indulge in a leisurely picnic amidst the vineyards. In the evening, you can enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner at one of the estate's gourmet restaurants, savoring the farm-to-table cuisine made with fresh, local ingredients.
Day 7: Fly to Kruger National Park
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kruger National Park, one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations. You'll check into Ngala Tented Camp, a luxurious safari lodge located in a private concession within Kruger National Park. The camp offers an intimate and secluded setting, perfect for a romantic safari experience.
Day 8 - 10: Safari Game Drives
Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and start your day with a romantic sunrise game drive in an open 4x4 safari vehicle with an experienced ranger and tracker. As you venture through the vast wilderness of Kruger National Park, you'll have the chance to spot the Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino) as well as a wide array of other wildlife species, such as cheetahs, wild dogs, zebras, giraffes, and more. Your ranger and tracker will share their in-depth knowledge of the flora and fauna, making this a truly enriching and exciting experience.
Return to the camp for a delicious breakfast, and spend the rest of the morning at leisure. You can relax in your luxury tented accommodation, which offers all the modern comforts while still being immersed in nature. The tents are elegantly appointed with a blend of African and contemporary style, featuring a private deck where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding wilderness.
In the afternoon, embark on another romantic sunset game drive, where you can witness the African savannah bathed in the golden light of the setting sun. As the day turns to dusk, you may have the opportunity to spot elusive nocturnal animals such as leopards, genets, and bushbabies. After an exciting day of wildlife encounters, return to the camp for a romantic candlelit dinner under the stars, serenaded by the sounds of the African night.
If you haven't had enough romance yet, we are amping it up for one last night - with a sleep out under the stars in the Tree House. An elevated sleep-out platform allows you to slumber al fresco under a retractable screen. Enjoy sundowner drinks and snacks on the upper deck, a picnic and midnight treats. Day 11: Departure
On your last day at Ngala Tented Camp, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast and take in the sights and sounds of the bush one last time. Bid farewell to the camp and its friendly staff as you are transferred to the airstrip for your return flight to Johannesburg, with cherished memories of your romantic African safari adventure.
