What an extraordinary journey we have had over the past month!

Thanks for sharing your ultimate East Africa safari with us.

We loved the excitement and drama of the Mara and Serengeti, with the magnificent wildebeest (and zebra) crossings, the massive herds, and the tremendous variety of animals seen.

The Selous was almost dreamlike, nothing of what we expected, with its pristine wilderness, many huge lakes, thousands of hippos, crocodiles, and birds, and some truly intense game viewing moments. We loved every minute there. It was a different world from the plains and savannas and forests and deserts we have seen elsewhere in Africa.

Mahale is one of the greatest experiences of my life. Up close with wild chimps, hiking for hours and kilometers up mountains, through dense forests on trails bushwhacked by our trackers to spot and follow and observe the chimps, an idyllic dream camp of open huts and a thatched dining and living area perched on the sandy shore of Lake Tanganyika, in the unspoiled Mahale National Park, walking barefoot in camp, dining on the beach, isolated and away from humanity.”

The Tanzanians everywhere have been kind and generous and hospitable, as were the Kenyans.

That’s a quick summary of what has been a wonderful trip. We are very appreciative of all your advice and efforts to conceive and organize our safari.

Asante Sana.
