Wonderful escape to Uganda, the Gorillas were just next to us, the big black back male even touched Philippe.

All my apologies for writing so long after that wonderful escape to Uganda. I have been feeling really spoiled to have the chance to be so closed to those amazing gorillas. They were so quiet that I nearly felt welcomed. 

We did not go to the chimpanzees because it was kind of too much for Philippe. It will be a good excuse to organize another trip to Africa.

We had a great time on the boat trip, what a comfortable way to watch the animals! 

Our guide Elias was perfect, a real gentleman who loves his country and  makes a point to share it with his clients. 

The Gorillas were just next to us, the big black back male even touched Philippe and myself, sooo amazing and emotional.

Both camps were great and the service was very attentive. There was a few problems on the first day at Bwindi, as Philippe told you. You sure have made everything necessary because those problems were solved and I guess one of the staff was fired… After that it was really good.

In Kyambura, everything was also really great, everybody was doing his best and the food was nice. I had asked the staff to bake a spécial birthday  cake for Lhassa . They did something really really nice and also much more to celebrate the birthday girl.

Yes, we had the chance to see three beautiful lions in the trees, the mum and her two big cubs. We were quite closed. They were napping on branches and we had plenty of time to capture them. I send you a few pics taken with my phone. I haven’t selected yet the ones in my camera.
